I’ve always possessed a love for storytelling, whether it was writing, filming, telling a tall tale over a couple espresso martinis, or a degree in visual effects I never ended up using. Over the years I’ve realised that the best stories I can tell are with a camera in my hands and some positive, creative energy behind the lens (although I do really love a good espresso martini). From the first time I photographed a wedding, telling the story of your love became my passion, and as corny as it sounds, makes this job not really feel like a job at all. I’ve been lucky enough to capture weddings all over our small corner of the globe, from secret city elopements in the heart of Melbourne to grand summer celebrations across the beautiful Murray river. I’ve never let a little travel get in the way of great photos and new friends and I hope this journey takes me to new places all the time.
So, what gets me up in the morning? Well normally a coffee, but not-so jokes aside, having a passion for what others might call work means I’m always raring to go, full of eagerness and enthusiasm. I’m constantly ready for new adventures and I’m never afraid to put myself somewhere uncomfortable or to dirty my shoes in pursuit of a good laugh.
I love to form a connection with every couple I photograph so I can make their day as about them as possible. Knowing what makes you smile and laugh, and what your love is all about will always make the images we capture that much more memorable.
